Martha Stewart, having been attacked by her dog and her daughter, shows she isn’t an expert on relationships. Martha Stewart may be an expert with a glue gun, but strikes out when it comes to perfect relationships.

Martha Stewart valued her dogs, even though she got a nasty split lip after her dog accidentally headbutted her.

Martha Stewart, however,  didn’t find as much joy in being a mother as she did in being a perfectionist homemaking Goddess. Even though her daughter still stands by her, Alexis revealed in her new book, Whateverland, “Martha Stewart was not interested in being kid-friendly.”

Somehow, I just can’t hear Martha Stewart saying, “Christmas is so fun; Christmas is for kids!” Why not? Her daughter said, ”She used to make me wrap my own presents. She would hand me things right before Christmas and say, ‘Now wrap these but don’t look inside’.”

Martha Stewart never had anything to eat at the house. Alexis said, “Other people had food. I had no food. There were ingredients but no prepared food of any kind. At Halloween, there was no trick or treating.”

Another indication that Martha Stewart didn’t understand, or possibly value relationships, is what she was teaching Alexis about marriage and having children. Martha Stewart advised her daughter when she was a small child that, “If you marry someone very wealthy and very unattractive, make sure you have sex with somebody else to have their baby. Don’t have his baby.” I wonder if Martha Stewart took her own advice. Just wondering…

Martha Stewart, drop the glue gun and pick up on this valuable information: kids are precious people!
