Jaycee Dugard Used the Law of Attraction Every Day

Jaycee DugardJaycee Dugard used the Law of Attraction every day of her captivity. She is an inspiration. She said, “Every day I thought of my mom…”

It’s hard to imagine the horrific experience Jaycee Dugard went through. She was held as a sex slave for 18 years, deprived of a proper education, medical care, decent surroundings and normal social interaction from age 11 to age 29.

I personally marvel at her innate use of the universal principles of the Law of Attraction. Jaycee Dugard told Diane Sawyer that Phillip and Nancy Garrido “didn’t get all of me.” She said that she continually held on to hope. Jaycee received inspiration by visualizing herself seeing her mother again. She cherished a butterfly pinky ring given to her by her mother that she was able to hide from the Garridos.

She visualized what she wanted to see again. Simple things like a glance at the moon reminded Jaycee of her mother and the life that she hoped to return to. She would stare at the moon and visualize how her mother and she used to sing a song about the moon together and debate which moon was prettier: a crescent or a full moon. The two women ironically looked at the same moon just two days before Dugard and her daughters were rescued in August 2009.

She imagined and re-experienced emotionally what it was like to be in her home, what her mother looked like and sounded like. Even if you are in hell, see previews of where you want your life to go.

Another Law of Attraction principle which gave her inspiration was to feel good about where you are at the moment, to find good things that can bring you joy with your current life. Kaycee said laughter is humanness and without it, she would know they had won. She found things to laugh at. She planted little plants and found joy in nurturing them. She found joy in her animals, and especially one special cat.

I can’t imagine that any of you will be in such a terrible situation as Jaycee was, however you can do what she did and expect to see your dreams.

You CAN bring your dreams to life!
